Where is the set? Where are the horses that are written in the script? Well, The Cleveland State Department of Theatre and Dance decided to make the show a little bit more interesting. The concept of the show was originated by having the thought of having the play take place as a very first “read through”. Actors coming in and having an assigned seat on stage, each played a very important role in the performance. To make the show more uplifting the actors would get up, make use of the stage, walk up to other actors that were seated, and “perform” their lines to them. At time the actors would even break the fourth wall by performing their lines directly to the audience. What made the show more enjoyable was not only did the audience have to use their imagination, but the actors used minimalistic props to help resemble the plot.
